Would you like to support excellent evidence-based patient care across Wirral? We are looking for an enthusiastic librarian to join our Library and Knowledge Service (LKS) Team at Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
Based in a recently redesigned and refurnished library, you will deliver a range of services, including complex literature searches and promotional activities to staff and students.
You will design, develop and facilitate online and face to face training and support materials on a wide variety of topics such as finding and using evidence-based resources, using point of care tools, critical appraisal, and health literacy.
A varied and exciting role, this post will also lead on renewal subscriptions and library management system updates.
Main duties of the job

Main duties include:
- the design, delivery and evaluation of training and support materials in a wide variety of topics such as searching and using evidence-based resources, grey literature and using point of care tools, critical appraisal, reflective writing
- providing service users with specialised, synthesised and high quality literature searches to support staff with clinical and non-clinical decision making
- facilitating knowledge sharing meetings and events
- a programme of marketing and promotional activities mainly through social media
- utilising online tools and evidence alert services
- collation of statistics demonstrating service impact
- administrative support to support the day-to-day running of the library
