An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Critical Care Outreach (Adult) Nurse (Team Leader) at Wirral University Teaching Hospital (WUTH).

Main duties of the job
The applicant must have substantial post-registration experience in Critical Care, with significant years working within Critical Care Outreach nursing at senior level with team leadership evidence.
Detailed knowledge of current best practice in Critical Care Outreach, the deteriorating patient, tracheostomy care and sepsis management is essential.
The applicant will be required to have excellent communication skills to be able to present and receive complex information and escalate information appropriately.
Additionally you will need to demonstrate the ability to use critical care skills outside of the critical care environment and respond to, prioritise and analyse complex problems and situations to ensure effective interventions and timely escalation is implemented.
The post holder must be willing to provide both formal and informal teaching to staff at all levels and contributing to the on-going development of the service
About us
The Critical Care Outreach Team (CCOT) at WUTH, is a highly regarded team who provide a Trust wide support resource to wards and clinical areas. The team provides ward based assessments, patient interventions and develop management plans with the goal to halt or reverse clinical deterioration of the critically ill patient or ensure patients have rapid access and transfer to the Critical Care environment ensuring improved outcomes and patient experience.
The CCOT team provides an extensive service, 365 days a year and will be expanding to a24 hour service in the future.
