Job summary

Post holder will be working as part of the paediatric diabetes team which includes clinicians , consultants, dietitians and psychology. Working across acute wards, community premises including educational establishments providing care and assessment for children and young peolple presentimng with diabetesPLEASE NOTE, WE MAY CLOSE THIS VACANCY EARLY IF WE RECEIVE HIGH NUMBERS OF APPLICATIONS.

Main duties of the job

To work autonomously in the provision of specialist, evidence-based diabetes care

To provide a high-quality service for Children and Young Peoples with diabetes and their families within a variety of settings, including client's homes, schools, wards, clinics and other community settings within Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust.

To assist in the implementation and adoption of local agreed diabetes policies and guidelines

To maintain Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust Standards in all aspects of the job.

About us

To be involved in the outpatient care of children and young people with diabetes and support them through daily living and times of illness and crisis.

To be involved in supporting young people with diabetes through transition to the as they enter adulthood
