Job summary
To provide a supportive role in nursing and supportive duties, assisting in the delivery of service to patients and relatives providing excellent customer service. This will incorporate organising the clinics, housekeeping, stocking up, maintenance of equipment, escorting patients.
Main duties of the job
To assist running MDCU efficiently and ensuring patients have a good experience by ensuring:o Resources required are available.o All equipment is cleared away at the end of procedures and restocked as required.o Patients and their relatives are communicated with and manage their waits in the waiting areas.o Complete patient experience audits.o Collect bloods from blood Bank..o Collect medication from Pharmacy.o Baseline Observations.o Help patients and relatives navigate their way around the hospital.o Keep the store rooms and utility rooms stocked up and tidy.o Help prepare patients for procedures and assist patients after the same.o To assist doctors Specialist Nurses with examination procedures.o To escalate immediately to the nurse in charge any concerns whilst on duty.
