The post holder will be responsible for, the day to day management of a team of Clinical Support Workers (CSW) within Radiology. The post holder will also be expected to provide the day to day management of the Lead Clinical Support Worker and work alongside them to provide an efficient and effective delivery of their team of Radiology CSWs, whilst maintaining a quality service. They will report to the Deputy Radiology Service Manager with all aspects of the team's mandatory training, performance, risk management and role specific training needs, for which they are accountable.

Main duties of the job

To be responsible for the day to day management of the Radiology CSW team including the Lead CSW.

To provide effective leadership to the Clinical Support Team and the Lead CSW, to provide a visible presence in the department and at meetings. Fostering a culture of mentorship, training and support.

To work alongside the Lead CSW to ensure CSWs are available for all areas of the service to maintain and support a high quality, robust and resilient Radiology Department on a day to day basis.

To work with the Deputy Radiology Service Manager to explore developments in the service.

To hold responsibility in areas of clinical practice to ensure the team of Radiology CSWs are maintaining high standards of care by ensuring they are compliant with their mandatory training and competency framework.

To act as an authorised signatory for resource requisitions and financial payments e.g., certification of unsocial hours, claims/ overtime payments or low-cost stock/ consumables.
