Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for 2 clinical support workers vacancies part time on ward 17. We are an acute respiratory ward and care for all ages of patients requiring treatment for asthma, copd, ILD, pulmonary fibrosis and other respiratory conditions.
We are currently looking for a permanent Clinical Support Workers who are enthusiastic and motivated to join our team
We are a friendly team, who welcome applicants that enjoy direct patient care and have a , good sense of humor and understand the importance of team work.
You must be caring, compassionate, reliable and have a genuine interest to work with a diverse patient group .
You will also have the opportunity the grow professionally and expand your skills.
A flexible approach to the hours of work is required; this includes long days (07:00-19:30) and night shifts (19:00-07:30) includes weekends and bank holidays.
Main duties of the job
Clinical Support Worker
Assisting patients with activities of daily living, in accordance with the care plan. These duties will include the delivery of hygiene care, nutrition and hydration, continence care, pressure area care, mobility and rehabilitation.
Therapeutically engaging with patients and their families, some of which will have dementia. The ward welcomes anyone with a interest in activity and entertainment that patients and staff will enjoy.
Being part of the wider MDT and making a daily contribution to the care patients receive.
Assist in taking and recording patient's observations and report changes to patient's health status to train nurse for action.
Support registered nursing staff with clinical treatments and investigations as appropriate, to the level of knowledge and skill.
