Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Nurse who is motivated, innovative and is experienced or has an interest in Parkinson's disease, to join the Community Neurological Rehabilitation Team.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge and desire for improving Parkinson's disease services and facilitating care that demonstrates best practice, in the assessment and management of people who have been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and Parkinson's Plus Syndromes.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be a highly clinically skilled nurse with good interpersonal and communication skills. You must have 1st level registration with evidence of post registration practice.
The individual needs to be motivated to support the on-going development and management of the Parkinson's disease service. Experience of working independently and using own initiative is essential. You must be able to organise your own workload to manage the caseload effectively.
You will need excellent leadership, communication, organisational and supervision skills and sound clinical knowledge.
You will be required to work closely with the Parkinson's disease clinical nurse specialist and contribute to driving forward the development of a high quality Parkinson's disease service for residents of Walsall, participating in evidence based projects and service evaluations. Applicants must have a current NMC registration.
