TWO PRACTICE EDUCATION FACILITATOR ROLES IN THE FACULTY OF RESEARCH AND CLINICAL EDUCATION (FORCE)

We have a fabulous opportunity. We are looking to recruit two Practice Education Facilitators to provide education support.
Main duties of the job
Using the Trust's care values, you will focus on delivering the best care to our patients through education and development of our future and current workforce. The primary focus of the role is to further develop and provide the preceptorship programme at Walsall Healthcare and also to support the development of the Clinical Support Worker role, with an added focus on skills acquisition, clinical competence and quality improvement within all of our acute areas.
Successful applicants will gain support when in post from the Faculty of Research and Clinical Education (FORCE), and will be offered continued professional development to help achieve their goals.

Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust provides integrated acute and community Healthcare in the West Midlands serving a population of 260,000 residents. Walsall Manor Hospital houses the full range of district general hospital services. The £170 million development was completed in 2010 and we are continually upgrading. Construction of the new integrated critical care unit was completed in2018,extension of a Neonatal Unit and brand new, state of the art Emergency Department is in the process of being completed.

Working closely with the Faculty of Research and Clinical Education (FORCE) team, you will support registered nurses and clinical support workers to raise standards and improve quality of patient care through a package of educational support. The post holder will be a point of contact and resource for education throughout Walsall Healthcare.
Experience of developing and delivering training packages in the classroom and clinical settings would be advantageous. A passion to develop and support others is essential, combined with the ability to build relationships rapidly. Applicants should be excellent networkers and able to confidently liaise with all members of the Multidisciplinary team.
It is essential that applicants hold a registered professional qualification and have a wide range of clinical experience supported by excellent evidence based knowledge and skills, as well as knowledge of clinical governance and risk management. This post requires the successful applicant to be self-motivated, with excellent organisational and communication skills and evidence of continuing professional development.

- Presentation skills

- Demonstrates literacy & numeracy skills
- Standard keyboard skills and knowledge of a number of IT packages such as Word, PAS, e-rostering etc.
Desirable

- Able to work safely under pressure across competing priorities
- Ability to utilise research and develop a research aware culture
- Demonstrate critical thinking, writing and have an interest in research and evidence based practice
