Job summary
We are seeking enthusiastic Paediatric Nurse's to join our dedicated multi-disciplinary team on Kingfisher Ward.
Come and join the multi-disciplinary team caring for babies, children and young people from 0-17 years with a range of conditions including: medical, surgical, ENT, psychological and orthopaedic.
In this role you will:
- Work across a variety of the departments within Paediatrics including our Paediatric Assessment Unit (PAU) and inpatient ward.
- Be given opportunities to work in our Paediatric Day Surgery Unit, Emergency Department and work with the Critical care team supporting critically unwell children on the Critical Care Unit
- Work with the existing teams to provide a child friendly service, support families and contribute to high standards of child centred care.
- Have opportunities to develop and gain additional skills.

Main duties of the job
- Provide high standards of care to patients and their families.
- Work as a skilled member of the nursing team, to provide a high standard of holistic family centred care to the children and families.
- Provide assessment, planning , implementation and evaluation of nursing care for patients, ensuring that accurate records are maintained.
- Ability to promote family centred care and establish good relationships with Children & Young People and their families.
- To communicate effectively at all levels within the multi-disciplinary team.
