Dorset provides a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a life amid outstanding areas of natural beauty both in the countryside and along the stunning Jurassic coast line.

We are looking for a highly skilled Cardiac Physiologist to Lead our Echo team as part of a service re-structure. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day clinical aspects of the echo service and well as supporting the Cardiac Physiology Manager in the operational demands and development needs of the service. Beyond the clinical duties you will also be responsible for managing the echo staff, develop echo educational programmes, training and competency assessment, SoPs and clinical guidelines, and deputise for the Cardiac Physiology Manager during periods of absence.

About us

We actively support continuing professional development, including apprenticeships, STP and individual BSE accreditation and this role requires oversight on the education and support required for staff to achieve this. There will be opportunities to develop leadership and management skills with in-house courses and support will be given to work towards management/leadership qualifications.

We also encourage and support attendance at relevant educational courses, national and regional network meetings with an expectation for you to represent the cardiac physiology echo team.
