Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity foran enthusiastic, ambitious and highly motivated speciality doctor to join our Trauma & Orthopaedics team, based at Dorset County Hospital .
Applicants should have full GMC registration and a licence to practice with the General Medical Council.
Main duties of the job
- To provide inpatient and outpatient Trauma and Orthopaedic services and to provide additional support to the lower limb arthroplasty services
- To be part of a Multidisciplinary Team, which include Consultants in Anaesthetics and Rheumatology (pain service), Radiology, Pathology and Elderly Care, nursing staff, physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists.
- To contribute to the training of Higher and Basic Surgical Trainees and other professional team members.
- To ensure a high level of efficiency and effectiveness in the provision of patient care.
- To fulfil continuing professional development requirements in line with clinical governance.
- To develop special interests to enhance what is currently undertaken in the department.
- To participate in audit and other areas of Directorate responsibility.
- To participate in audit and other areas of the Care Group responsibility.
- To attend and actively participate in monthly education meetings.
