Job summary
The post holder will be a member of the children's therapy administration team to ensure an efficient service is provided for paediatric patients and their carers attending clinics.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work closely with the team to ensure the delivery of a high quality service. They will require the utilisation of good secretarial, clerical, communication and interpersonal skills.
A polite and helpful first point of contact for patients, staff, and visitors to the Children's Therapy Department at Dorset County Hospital. To make patient appointments. To deal with enquires from patients, staff and visitors including by telephone, email, and face to face. The accurate sending and receiving of electronic data using hospital systems such as PAS, DPR and SystmOne.
About us
The Children's Therapy department is an integrated paediatric physiotherapy and occupational therapy team and provides a service in a range of settings including the children's centre, health clinics, special and mainstream school, opportunity groups, play groups and in the child's own home. In-patients are also seen on Kingfisher ward, Special Care Baby Unit and the Maternity Unit.

- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, including English at Grade C or above.
