Main duties of the job
Appropriate in-house training will be provided as necessary so that the successful applicant can support the full range of activities carried out by the Department, including quality control testing of ionising and non-ionising medical imaging equipment (x-ray, ultrasound and MRI); quality control testing of medical lasers and UV therapy equipment; calibration of audiological equipment; and support to Trust use of medical gases and weighing scales. There will also be the opportunity to develop skills and competency in the use of mechanical workshop equipment and a 3-D printer.
The Medical Physics Service provides scientific support for equipment on site at DCH and at surrounding community hospitals in Dorset, as well as at a number of Community Dental Clinics in Dorset and Somerset.

- Be able to prioritise your own workload, and work as part of a team;
- Have good interpersonal and communication skills to ensure effective working relationships, both inside and outside the Trust.

- Experience of working in a team;
- Computer literate, including experience in the use of MS office.
