Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated middle-grade colleague to join our small and supportive team. The department will support any development needs of the candidate such as preparation for CESR.

Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will be expected to:
- To provide day-case and outpatient ophthalmology services to patients in Dorset
- To provide support for in-patients at Dorset County Hospital
- To participate in the provision of the acute ophthalmology service
- To contribute to the training of junior doctors and other professional team members
- To fulfil continuing professional development requirements in line with clinical governance.
To participate in audit and clinical governance
About us
The ophthalmology service for the population of West Dorset is largely based in The Royal Eye Infirmary on site at Dorset County Hospital. We undertake community clinics around the county and are looking to expand the community provision. We collaborate closely with ophthalmology colleagues at The Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Trust and continually strive to improve ophthalmology services across the county of Dorset. There is an active and helpful Audit Department with regular Audit program and an annual Cataract Audit
