The Diagnostic imaging department at Dorset County Hospital are pleased to be able to offer a post to a fully or partly trained Radiographer Assistant Practitioner.
Main duties of the job
As an Assistant Practitioner you would be expected to work in one or more modalities of the department, if you have already specialised in a specific modality we would be pleased to make use of your existing skills.
As a department we are proactive in offering training opportunities to all our staff , whether you want to undertake further formal training or develop your practical skills

Dorset County Hospital has around 350 beds, seven main theatres and two day theatres, and has been designed with a major commitment to Public Arts in Hospital.

- To hold a foundation degree in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent
- To carry out a limited range of examinations under the supervision of registered diagnostic Radiographers
- To be a proficient, valuable, and reliable member of the Diagnostic Imaging team.
- To provide high quality radiographic images whilst working on rotation through the main imaging areas of the department including Plain film Fluoroscopy, and DXA
- To have a professional, caring,
- and responsible approach to patients.
- To contribute to the provision of a 7-day Diagnostic Imaging Service to the Trust.
