Job summary
Are you a skilled and experienced Network and Telephony Manager looking for an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact at an acute hospital? We are a rapidly growing team looking for a talented professional to join us and manage our network and telephony systems. As the Network and Telephony Manager, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining our network infrastructure and telephony systems to ensure optimal performance, security and reliability.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that network and telephony solutions are developed in a timely fashion that meet requirements and get involved in all stages of the development lifecycle.
The post holder will provide a lead voice when defining development practices and procedures used by the team and wider trust and contribute to the team methodology.
The post holder will assume lead responsibility for ensuring network and telephony systems are operational when required and are maintained and supported.
The post holder will be responsible for guiding and mentoring members of the team.

- Educated to a Masters level qualification in related subject area or equivalent training.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
Knowledge and Experience

- Significant knowledge of NHS Digital Systems
- Proven and significant experience as a technical expert and authority, specialising in the design, configuration, installation and support of network management.
- Demonstrable experience of ensuring the effective provision of safe, secure network and telephony environments
- Proven record of delivering complex network/VOIP infrastructure services/projects to meet business needs
- Demonstrable experience of managing an enterprise network, including core and edge switches, firewalls, VPN, WAN links and telephony services (fixed and mobile)

- Organised and methodical in approach and able to prioritise work under pressure in order to meet SLAs
- Proactive approach to improving the service and to meeting and exceeding SLAs
