Job summary
- We are looking for motivated and suitably experienced Clerical Administrators / Receptionists to join our Radiology team and help deliver a high-quality, patient-focused service.
- As part of the Radiology Clerical Team, the postholder will liaise with patients, clinicians and a range of services across the Trust to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the department.
- The role requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a busy, fast-paced environment.
- Key responsibilities include providing reception cover, operating the Radiology call centre, and scheduling imaging appointments. These duties are essential to supporting timely patient pathways and maintaining a responsive and effective service.
Main duties of the job
- Prioritise and manage workload independently, ensuring service delivery is maintained in line with departmental and specialist requirements. Use relevant IT systems effectively to support the completion of tasks.
- Handle telephone and face-to-face enquiries from patients, relatives, carers, clinicians and other staff groups. Provide accurate information, direct queries appropriately and prioritise issues to support an efficient and effective service.
- Maintain accurate patient information on electronic systems, ensuring records are up to date, clearly documented and accessible. This supports effective communication and coordination across the Radiology department.
- Work collaboratively with management to contribute to continuous improvement of Administrative and Clerical processes, supporting service development and the delivery of a high-quality patient experience.
