Consultant Community Paediatrician Combined Role : 10 PAs
[Community Paediatrician Role - 6PAs per week & Named Doctor for Children Looked After service- 4PAs per week]
1. Child Development Assessment Clinics - Neurodevelopmental assessment.
2. Assessment for children under 5 years for diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder.
3. Working within Multidisciplinary Integrated Service at the Moor Lane Centre - joint assessments/MDT review/CPIP assessment / development of care pathways
4. Provide medical advice to the Local SEND according to statutory legislation and guidance for children with special educational needs.
5. Provide health assessment and medical advice for Children Looked After Servicel
Main duties of the job
Neurodevelopmental Assessment Clinics
This clinic based work includes face to face and virtual assessments for new and review cases presenting with developmental concerns accepted through our single point of access (ITAC). Assessment to consider possible diagnoses of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD) Movement Disorders and Neuromuscular Disorders and Globally Impaired Developmental Profile.
Work includes assessment and ongoing management of children and young people with complex neuro-developmental needs including movement disorder and Genetic conditions as part of Multidisciplinary Team.
Assessment Autism Spectrum Disorder
The Community Paediatricians play a key role in our ASD assessment pathways.
Following National Guidance for Multidisciplinary assessment working closely with colleagues in speech and language and education.
Named Doctor / Clinician for Children Looked After Service: 4 PAs per week:
Named Doctor will support all activities necessary to ensure that the organisation meets its responsibilities for looked after children and young people in Kingston. The doctor will be responsible to and accountable within the managerial framework of the provider organisation and at all times and in relation to the roles and responsibilities listed, work as a member of the organisation's looked after children's health team.
