Job summary

This post provides clinical oversight for the delivery of services which are delivered through highly trained volunteers to support patients with their goals for active and independent lifestyles in Richmond & Kingston Boroughs.

With an established background in Physiotherapy and vulnerable patient groups, you will clinically assess patients' needs, triage and refer patents into these volunteer-driven services - The Community Exercise Programme, and, Volunteer 2 Career initiative.

You will work alongside service managers in the Volunteering Team to provide the clinical components of volunteer training and supervision to volunteers and AHP students, ensuring safe and effective service delivery.

Main duties of the job

  • Design and implementation of clinical processes for the Volunteer 2 Career programme and Community Exercise Service
  • Clinical patient-facing duties - assessment and triage, first visits and management of clinical escalations by volunteers or service managers
  • Specialist advice, guidance and support to volunteers in the delivery of these services and programmes

  • Masters Degree level qualification or equivalent knowledge and experience in a relevant NHS Setting
  • Full and up to date registrations and qualifications to practice clinical Physiotherapy in the UK

Experience

  • Extensive experience of relevant clinical work with evidence of working clinically with older people and/or frailty
  • Significant experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a service to patients
  • Demonstrable experience of designing and implementing clinical processes, e.g. refer to assess, triage and safeguarding mechanisms
  • Extensive experience of supervising other staff/students/volunteers
  • Strong experience of collecting monitoring data for service quality and overall evaluation of KPIs and service impact
