Job summary
Kingston Hospital is a district general hospital based approximately 12 miles from central London. The hospital supports 350,000 people in the surrounding area including the boroughs of Kingston, Richmond, Roehampton, Putney and East Elmbridge. We have approximately520 beds and directly employ approximately 2,600 staff with another 300 staff employed by contractors but working on behalf of the Trust. We are located on one site in Kingston upon Thames, and provide a full range of diagnostic and treatment services. We have a national reputation for innovative developments in healthcare, particularly in 'patient-focused'care, day surgery and maternity services. If so, Kingston Hospital NHS Trust is the place for you! We have vacancies for Paediatric Junior Sisters within our Emergency Department, rated "Outstanding" by the Care Quality Commission.

We are looking for enthusiastic Band 6 Children's nurses with a passion for child centred care to join our friendly team in ED. The applicant should have excellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast moving environment. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe and effective care to our service users and safe discharge of patients. You will also get experience in team management.
We have a dedicated Paediatric Emergency Department and Urgent Treatment Centre. The Paediatric Emergency Department sees approximately 34,000 children per year.
Our dedicated Paediatric Practice facilitator team, ED Senior Sister and Paediatric ED Matron will support and encourage you to develop both clinically and managerially and offer a comprehensive induction programme, teaching sessions and in-house training.
