Main duties of the job
We are looking to appoint a dynamic Locum Consultant Gynaecologist and Obstetrician with an interest in gynae-oncology to complement our existing team. We have a busy outpatient gynaecology service offering the full range of diagnostic and therapeutic outpatient gynaecological services. This is a maternity cover post to support our gynae-oncology team. The gynae-oncology team includes two consultants, two clinical nurse specialists in gynae-oncology, and a dedicated administrative co-ordinator. The successful candidate will be expected to support the local MDT, alongside our substantive gynae-oncologist, gynaecology radiologist, histopathologist and MDT co-ordinator and be involved in the regional MDT.
About us
The area surrounding the hospital is one of the most attractive "green" areas in the outer London region, almost entirely surrounded by river, three Royal Parks and open countryside. It is 12 miles from the centre of London and 10 miles from Heathrow airport. There are good road and rail links with Central London and there is a large commuter population.
