Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work alongside experienced Respiratory Physiotherapists and Nurses in Richmond. The Respiratory Care Team provide support in the community to patients with long term respiratory conditions including a Pulmonary Rehabilitation program.

Main duties of the job

What will you do?

  • Deliver Pulmonary Rehabilitation classes alongside clinicians
  • Deliver home Pulmonary Rehabilitation progammes
  • Manage a caseload of patients
  • To participate with data collection and submission for local and national audits
  • To support the service as it works towards accreditation
  • Travel is an integral part of the role, it is essential that you are able to travel to a variety of clinic and community sites and to patients homes within Richmond borough during the working day.

NHS / Healthcare experience

Essential

  • 3+ years of experience working in NHS / Healthcare setting

Desirable

  • Experience working in community setting
  • Experience working within a respiratory setting (acute / community / social / volunteer)
  • Previous Therapy Assistant work

Travel

Essential

  • Car driver
  • Access to vehicle for work purposes

Desirable

  • Alternative mode of transport (not public transport)

Pulmonary Rehabilitation experience

Essential

  • Delivery of PR / exercise / education sessions in group setting
  • Understanding of PR benefits with respiratory conditions

Desirable

  • Awareness of PRSAS - accreditation scheme
  • Experience with delivery / attendance of exercise groups

Respiratory knowledge

Essential

  • Understanding of main respiratory conditions team commissioned to manage; COPD, Fibrosis and Bronchiectasis
