Main duties of the job
To be successful in this role, candidates will be required to demonstrate general and operational management experience ideally within an acute hospital setting and evidence of a flexible and compassionate approach to leadership.
Working with the support of the General Manager the post holder will ensure that effective and efficient structures are in place to ensure that all standards of patient care are met and associated risk and governance matters are managed. The post holder will support the General Manager in developing efficient and effective patient centered services, meeting key financial and operational performance targets, and putting in place effective processes for delivering national / local targets, reviewing the efficiency and effectiveness of services in terms of cost effectiveness and financial flows.
In addition, participation in the senior manager on-call rota for the trust will provide invaluable experience of trust-wide operations and cross-divisional working.
