Job summary
Trust Grade (ST3+ Equivalent ) in Cardiology
Applications are invited for this fixed term full-time post to commence 02-08-2024 for one year in the first instance. The post holder's duties include responsibility for cardiology and general medical inpatients and cardiology clinics. Depending on the candidate's experience, there will opportunity for cardiac cath lab sessions and training in echocardiography. There is a library and a Postgraduate Medical Centre on site with an active teaching programme.
Some prior clinical experience in Cardiology is essential and it is desirable that applicants have obtained the MRCP.

Main duties of the job
To contribute to the delivery of inpatient cardiology care on Bronte ward
To support the multi-disciplinary team with discharge planning.
To provide educational and clinical supervision for the junior medical team, and for members of the multi-professional, multi-disciplinary, multi-agency teams.
To contribute to the development and delivery of the Kingston Hospital Cardiology Medicine Medical Student teaching programme
To contribute to the delivery of the clinical governance and risk management strategy for the Cardiology service
To provide internal cover for colleagues in the Cardiology Department, as required.
To deliver care in the Cardiology outpatient service.
