Job summary

Kingston Hospital and Hounslow & Richmond Community Health Care NHS Trust are currently undergoing an exciting period of integration and we are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic HR professional to join the HR Advisory Team to provide an expert and comprehensive service to our Corporate services but also clinical departments at Kingston hospital as and when required

Main duties of the job

We are currently looking for an HR Advisor with some previous operational HR experience to join the HR Advisory team.

As the HR Advisor, you will be part of the HR Advisory team that provides an efficient and client focused service, delivered through a proactive approach in providing comprehensive and effective HR advice. You will use your positive, can-do attitude to support managers in managing a range of ER cases including sickness absence, disciplinary, grievance and performance management . You will also be involved in policy development, job evaluation, delivering training courses to managers and dealing with other operational HR processes.

This role will suit those who are looking to work in a fast-paced environment and is an exciting development opportunity with a broad scope of responsibility and exposure to all aspects of operational HR.

Education

Essential

  • Associate CIPD qualification or equivalent relevant experience
  • Degree or equivalent level of knowledge

Experience

Essential

  • Sufficient recent experience of working in a Human Resources or employee relations setting
  • Generalist HR experience which involves advising managers on all HR issues

Desirable

  • Experience of handling employee relations issues e.g. Grievance, Disciplinary etc.
  • Experience of using ESR
  • Good understanding of HR policies & procedures

Skills

Essential

  • Flexible with an ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively to all levels of staff / management / unions

  • Trained in AfC job matching
