Job summary

Kingston Hospital and Hounslow & Richmond Community Health Care NHS Trust are currently undergoing an exciting period of integration and we are seeking to appoint an additional Assistant HR Advisor to join the HR Advisory Team here in Kingston Hospital.

Main duties of the job

This is a varied and interesting role, and you will be responsible for providing advice and guidance to managers and staff on operational HR processes including professional registrations and visa renewals, family related leave, advising on HR policies and procedures and dealing with general HR queries. The role remit also covers managing the HR shared mailbox, coordinating mediation sessions and supporting the team with arranging and minuting HR meetings.

This post would provide an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in working in an HR Advisory team which will offer you a friendly and supportive working environment. The ideal candidate will be a competent and experienced administrator with some previous HR experience. You will be a proactive and effective team player with excellent organisational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks at once and can communicate confidently and professionally with a variety of stakeholders.

Education/Qualifications

Essential

  • Level 3 CIPD qualification or equivalent relevant experience
  • Working towards level 5 CIPD qualification

Experience

Essential

  • Sufficient recent experience in a Generalist HR Admin capacity
  • Experience in guiding managers on HR policies and procedures
  • Experience in minute taking
  • Experience of using HR databases to record and access information

Desirable

  • Experience of handling employee relations issues at early stages e.g. Grievance, Disciplinary etc.

Skills /Abilities

  • Advanced keyboard skills including intermediate to advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills
  • Excellent written skills with the ability to write clear, concise reports and policies.
