Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Admin Manager to join our well-established teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the admin functions for Trauma & Orthopaedics within Cluster 6. The service runs clinics both onsite and outreach and are involved in both planned and unplanned admissions so provide a wide range of experience to the post holder. The Admin Manager is pivotal to providing efficient and effective admin support across the area. Not only will the post holder be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of our Hub Team and PPC's they will also work closely with the Deputy Service Manager in operational aspects of the service delivery. The post holder will ensure that effective and efficient structures are in place to ensure that patient pathways are managed effectively, and performance standards are maintained in line with 18 week. This varied and interesting role would be an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys managing a busy team and wants to develop their skills in operational management.
Main duties of the job
1. Prioritise and manage workload without direct supervision.
2. To assist the DSM & DGM in the delivery of the directorate's 18 weeks and associated performance measures
3. To work closely with the Trauma & Orthopaedic clinicians to support the delivery of complex patient pathways.
4. To manage the co-ordination of the Trauma & Orthopaedic lists.
5. To manage the patient pathway model and to be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Patient Pathway Co-Ordinators and Patient Pathway Assistants. To determine priorities and re-adjust work continually to meet changing priorities within the service line including the meeting of the 18 week standard.
6. To work closely with the DSM and provide cross cover for each
