Specialty Doctor in Plastic Surgery 10 PA Job Plan-Applications for Job Share Welcome
An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic substantive whole-time specialty doctor to join our thriving, extremely busy Plastic Surgery Department at Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
We offer a comprehensive plastic surgery service which is provided by a dedicated multidisciplinary team consisting of medical consultants, consultant nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists, a medical photographer and a team of outpatient nurses with a special interest in the treatment of skin conditions. The department benefits from a full range of diagnostic imaging and pathology support services; and has close links with St George's Hospital and St Johns Dermatological Society.
Main duties of the job
The postholder will be expected to work with clinical colleagues and local managers in providing a safe, efficient and effective service for Kingston Hospital. This will include the review of inpatients, provision of outpatient clinics, undertaken of minor operating lists and active participation in the Skin Cancer MDT support. This role is primarily to support our skin cancer service however will also cover general plastic surgery and ward referrals for patients with wound issues. There is no emergency on-call.
About us
The appointee will be expected to support undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and training. Research is encouraged and full facilities are available.
The successful candidate must be registered with the GMC with a valid license to practice. Registration with RCRS/MRCS is essential. GMC registration as a Specialist Plastic Surgeon is desirable.
