The Hospital is based in Kingston upon Thames, a bustling riverside town on the borders of London and Surrey. Kingston offers a wide variety of bars, cafes, restaurants and clubs and shopping to rival central London. Richmond Park is just a 15 minute walk from the Hospital and the Hospital is well served by public transport, with Norbiton Station on the doorstep. This allows you to jump on a train and arrive in central London, 12 miles away, in less than 30 minutes.

Main duties of the job

The housekeeper will work with the Nurse in Charge of the ward ensuring that all visitors are welcomed and that excellence in customer care and front of house services are provided.

This role will support and supplement those of the nursing staff and does not replace or supplement domestic services, but enhance the patient experience overall. The post holder will work as part of the unit team, beingresponsible for keeping the unit neat, tidy, uncluttered and well presented; the daily stock of clinical supplies and for equipment cleaning and maintenance.

They will be responsible for maintaining a safe and comfortable unit environment and will work flexibly being prepared to undertake those non-nursing duties designated by the Ward Sister/Nurse in Charge.
