NELFT's Barking, Dagenham, Havering, and Redbridge Nutrition and Dietetics team is excited to announce an opportunity for a Band 7 Paediatric Dietitian to join our expanding Paediatric Dietetic team. We are seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic, and confident professional to contribute to our growing team's success, delivering exceptional care across the mentioned localities.
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities:
1. Specialist Dietetics Assessment and Treatment: The post holder will be a Registered Dietitian, delivering specialist paediatric dietetic care within the Nutrition and Dietetics Havering team and may also be required to cover sites across Redbridge and Barking & Dagenham.
2. Integration into Multi-disciplinary Team: Represent the nutrition and dietetic service within the multi-disciplinary team to ensure a coordinated service delivery. Integrate nutritional advice seamlessly into the treatment program.
3. Patient-Centered Care: Demonstrate sensitivity, non-judgment, and professionalism in dealing with patients. Provide advice in a considerate manner within the child's environment.
4. Accountability: Assume professional and legal accountability for all aspects of your work, including the management of patients/clients in your care.
5. Communication and Time Management: Possess excellent communication and time management skills to efficiently coordinate tasks and interactions with patients, carers, and fellow health professionals

Starting with NELFT
NELFT place great importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks, including mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
High Cost Area Supplement - Outer London
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,551 to a maximum of £5,735 p.a. pro rata for part time).
