We are currently recruiting to a CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist position in Thanet CAMHS Community Team, based at Orchard House, 17 Church Street, St Peters, Broadstairs, Kent, CT10 2TT.

This is a replacement, substantive, full-time post - 10 PAs with 7.5 PA DCC and 2.5 SPA. This post is currently vacant and we wish to recruit to this post as soon as possible.

You will join another full-time CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist (out to recruitment), and 1wte

CAMHS Specialty Doctor (Dr Ogunrinde) within the service, and will have the opportunity to influence future direction, treatment, and models of design in the area in which you work.

You will be expected to:

Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to patients with eating disorders across all ages, although more focus on the adult patients

Provide senior medical support to the team, and direct input on clinical cases

Provide guidance and supervision to the team, work directly with adults (and their families), and liaise as appropriate with other external adult mental health providers, and acute hospitals

Work alongside another Adult Consultant Psychiatrists, 2,8wte CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrists, 0.4wte Paediatrician, and 0.6wte CAMHS Specialty Doctor within the service, and will share supervision requirements for junior doctors in the service

Further develop links already established with the local acute trusts A&E departments and inpatient wards, in order to continually improve our services

Be responsible for patients allocated to them and will assess, manage, plan, and deliver care

Support their peers and team leader and be an effective team member whilst working on their own initiative and supervise junior colleagues

Commitment to collaborative working and actively supporting and liaising with other health and social professionals and agencies
