Job summary

Specialist Community Public Health Nurse - Health Visitor 0-19 Universal Children's Service.

West Locality Team is going through some exciting changes supporting the development of the family/community hubs in Barking . We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic and innovative Health Visitors to be a part of our team to implement the healthy child programme requirements for the family/community hubs.

This role is Specialist Community Public Health Nurses - Health Visitors on the NMC register

Main duties of the job

Job Overview

  • To lead the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme, and ensure the Service model is implemented in practice.
  • Ensure services are provided within the 4 tier model- Your Community, Universal, Universal plus and Partnership plus. This will incorporate building community capacity, and embedding this into caseload, team and locality management.
  • Responsible for the management of caseload allocation as per locality/team, and classification of cases in line with the national strategy of Universal, Universal plus and Universal partnership plus.
  • Work in accordance to the Locality commissioned service specification, to ensure the 5 mandated reviews are completed within required timescales and services provided are evidence based practice.
  • To improve the health and wellbeing of children and young people especially those from disadvantaged groups.We would welcome your application if you have the following:

  • Student Health Visitor due to qualify
  • Evidence of working with children and young people
  • Willing to undertake further training as required

About us

Starting with NELFTNELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focusing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

Probationary PeriodThis post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).High Cost Area Supplement - LondonThis post attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,551 and a maximum payment of £5,735 per annum pro rata).Certificates of Sponsorship
