Job summary

We are looking for an exercise therapist with experience of working with people or clients in either an exercise or rehabilitation environment. Experience in exercise on referral services would be an advantage.

As per of the team you would be working in clinic across Havering and Barking &Dagenham.

The role will includes working closely with our musculoskeletal physiotherapists, exercise therapist and physiotherapy apprentice to develop exercise classes and individual programmes for clients with musculoskeletal conditions to promote their recovery and encourage self-management.

We have an experienced team of musculoskeletal therapists to support you. NELFT also has a dedicated lead for AHP support level roles to support development.

Main duties of the job

Developing and running both classes and 1:1 exercise programmes for patients with musculoskeletal conditions.

Goal setting , educating and motivating individuals to promote their recovery and encourage self-management

Referring and signposting individuals to appropriate services- such as exercise on referral, community groups and talking therapies.

Supposing the service with infection control procedures for exercise equipment.

Maintaining accurate electronic records.

Starting with NELFT

NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focusing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

High Cost Area Supplement - London

This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,551 to a maximum of £5,735).
