We are currently recruiting to an Older Adult Consultant Psychiatrist position for the Queen's Hospital Liaison Team, based at Queen's Hospital, Rom Valley Way, Romford, RM7 0AG, with additional palliative care input to Saint Francis Hospice, based at Broxhill Road, Havering-Atte-Bower, Romford, Essex, RM4 1QH. This is a new post, created following one consultant dropping their sessions and combining that with other resource made available by Siant Francis Hospice.
This is a new, substantive, full-time post - 10 PAs with 7.5 PA DCC and 2.5 SPA. This post is currently vacant, and we wish to recruit to this post as soon as possible.
You will work alongside another Old Age Consultant Psychiatrist (Dr Stephen O'Connor), a General Adult Consultant Psychiatrist (Dr Gavin McKay), and a General Adult / Diabetes Consultant Psychiatrist (Dr Sally Daly), two Specialty Doctors who work across old age and general adult psychiatry, a senior trainee in old age psychiatry and a Foundation Year 2 doctor. You will supervise the FY2 doctor and share supervision responsibility for the Specialty doctors.

Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to older adult people with mental health needs, across Redbridge, Havering, Barking and Dagenham.
Provide senior medical support and guidance to the team
Work directly with older adults and their families and liaise as appropriate with other external mental health providers and acute hospitals
Support your peers and team leader, and be an effective team member whilst allowing them to work with their own initiative
Work alongside another Old Age Consultant Psychiatrist, a General Adult Consultant Psychiatrist, and a General Adult / Diabetes Consultant Psychiatrist), two Specialty Doctors who work across old age and general adult psychiatry, a senior trainee in old age psychiatry and a Foundation Year 2 doctor.
