Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a multi-professional workforce that will significantly increase access to treatment for people with depression, anxiety and other common mental health conditions within a Primary Care setting.
Talking Therapies Barking & Dagenham IAPT is looking forapplicants who have enthusiasm for working in a primary care setting, who are adaptable, enjoy variety, can work independently and under pressure as well as understanding the importance of team working.
This role is to work as a member of the administration team and help and assist in the smooth running of the administration function of Talking Therapies Barking & Dagenham. Experience in working within a primary care setting or working in the mental health or related field is essential for this role. Applicants will be expected to work within the service's business hours (8am - 8pm), therefore the role will be required to work 1 evening.
Main duties of the job
You would be expected to develop skills where appropriate to meet the developing needs of the team. Additionally, you will need to maintain good working relationships with all members of the team, other teams and departments within the trust, social services and outside bodies.The main responsibilities of the post:
- To take telephone referrals, enter data on Trust and Service specific databases and spread sheet, arrange appointments and make up client file in accordance with policy
- Taking telephone enquires and messages, ensuring accuracy, confidential and prompt attention of same
- The photocopying and distribution of documents
- The preparation of correspondence and reports utilising word processing and computing skills, to include audio and copy typing
- To undertake reception duties (in two locations in Dagenham) shared within the administration team and deal with enquires promptly and courteously as required
- General and complex secretarial/clerical tasks, including taking of minutes when required
- Keep up to date with knowledge and skills in line with STEPS system
About us
Starting with NELFTNELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focusing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
Probationary PeriodThis post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).High Cost Area Supplement - LondonThis post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,313 and a maximum payment of £5,436 per annum pro rata).
