Job summary

The service operates a 9am-5pm Monday -Friday service from the main site in Romford, which is a short walk away from the new TFL Elizabeth Line.

We provide access, assessment, treatment following recommended guidance to a growing population of 0-18-year-olds. We work as a fully clinical integrated MDT working alongside and in collaboration with primary care, universal, targeted and specialised MH services, as well as our educational providers and local authority colleagues.

We are also have both operational and clinical leadership within the team enabling us to strive to providing the best care possible.

The London Borough of Havering CAMH service, is also working with the national collaborative and The RCPsych to positively focus and influence our service within the Quality Improvement framework.

This post would suit a Psychotherapist with a strong interest in CAMHS, working directly with children and young people.

Main duties of the job

Main Duties of the Role

  1. To be responsible for organising and prioritising own workload, in line with caseload needs.
  2. To provide skilled evidenced based intervention/treatment within your scope of practice.
  3. To show leadership skills across the MDT, sharing knowledge and skill from you own profession, in adjacent to others.
  1. You may need to deputise in the absence of a senior colleague and show the ability to prioritise and delegate appropriately.
  2. To have organisational knowledge to work within the Trust protocols and procedures and adhere to them for example safeguarding children.
  3. To ensure effective care planning and risk management for individuals and service level is adhered to.
  4. To support the use of ROMS and other forms of Audit to inform clinical and service delivery.

About us

Starting with NELFT

NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

Higher Cost Area Supplement

This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,108 to a maximum of £5,177).
