Job summary

We are recruiting Primary Care Network Mental Health Practitioners for the Redbridge area.

A Primary Care Network (PCN) is a group of GP practices that work together in a local geographical area. We are recruiting for one vacancy in the New Cross Alliance PCN.

The role has been co-designed by our Mental Health clinicians and GP colleagues, with the aim of improving patient access to mental health care and support. As an additional resource based on the patients' GP surgery, your role would include assessing patients' needs, signposting them to support resources, referring to other services and, where appropriate, offering brief intervention.

The post-holder will be employed by NELFT and will be a member of the local Mental Health service team, supported by a line manager and peers, but will be based in a Primary Care Network working in New Cross Alliance PCN premises

Main duties of the job

We are a very active and forward thinking small Primary Care Network (PCN) based in the London borough of Redbridge. Comprising of 3 General Practices, whose unified vision is to provide high quality clinical care in a primary care setting in a timely way when patients need it.

To complement our PCN, we are seeking a talented Mental Health Practitioner to join our well-established ARRS Team. By expanding our workforce, we aim to better support and enhance healthcare for our local patient population. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focusing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.High Cost Area Supplement - LondonThis post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,313 and a maximum payment of £5,436 per annum pro rata).

  • NVQ level 2 or equivalent standard of literacy and numeracy
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse
  • Non-Medical Prescriber OR willingness to gain qualification
