Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for the right person to be the Personal Assistant (PA) to support the Integrated Care Director (ICD) for the Acute and Rehabilitation Directorate (Band 5), 37.5 hours a week. In this fast-paced role you will be dealing with competing priorities and excellent organisations skills will be required, flexible working/job share will be considered.
The post holder will need to demonstrate their ability to:
- Manage a diary and emails
- Arrange and minute meetings (face to face and virtual via MS Teams)
- Prepare and distribute Agenda/Papers in the timely manner
- Work as a team player
- Use initiative
- Prioritise workload
- Monitor and keep Healthroster up to date
- Procurement and stationery ordering
- Filter calls as 1st point of contact to ICD
- Reduce workload of ICD where possible
- Ensure regular 1:1s with ICD's direct managers

Main duties of the job
As the Band 5 Personal assistant you will support the Integrated Care Director to provide high quality administration, information and act as a central reference point to all staff within the service including clinicians/managerial staff and other external stakeholders. The role comprises of a wide range of duties and requires the ability to use multiple computer systems, be able to manage and prioritise own workloads without direct supervision and have strong communication and organisational skills. An ability to understand the need for maintaining confidentiality at all times is essential.
Candidates will need to be forward thinking and have a problem solving approach, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process, new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
High-Cost Area Supplement - London
This post also attracts payment for High-Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,313 and a maximum payment of £5,436).
