Job summary

The Waltham Forest Recovery College provides a range of free recovery focused educational sessions for people receiving care under our community mental health services. Courses are delivered both in person and on line and are co produced and co delivered by people with lived experience and people with professional experience.

We are looking for an experienced Administrator to support the growth and daily functions and development of the College.

The post holder will be responsible for the establishment and maintenance of effective administration systems to ensure the smooth day to day running of the Recovery College and providing administrative support to Recovery College colleagues.

Main duties of the job

Tasks include: managing the generic Recovery College email, student enrolments, supporting performance outcomes & key performance indicators, promotion of the Recovery College , telephone and face to face communication with Recovery College students , carers , staff and other external partners & agencies.

Responsibilities also include: the setting up and booking of rooms both in person and for the virtual ( using Zoom/ MST ) delivery of the WFRC courses and workshops . The setting up of face to face and virtual meetings and minute taking.

Probationary Period

Starting with NELFT

NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process, new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

High-Cost Area Supplement - London

This post also attracts payment for High-Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,313 and a maximum payment of £5,436).
