Job summary
The Children's Speech and Language Therapy team in Redbridge are looking for a clinical lead to work in partnership with Children's Clinical Leads at The Grove.
Applicants will have a passion for working with children and young people from birth to 19 years across a wide range of disabilities and health conditions and be interested in co-producing pathways with our families and young people.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone wishing to develop their leadership skills within the context of a supportive and friendly team.
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities:
- To manage Speech & Language Therapy Service and to continue to establish close links between the Children's therapy teams.
- To organise the triage of all new referrals made to the speech & language therapy department for assessment, prioritising according to need and allocating within the team.
- To manage resources within a set budget allocation ensuring any deviation from the budget plan is highlighted and remedial action is taken.
- To be responsible for ensuring that all processes relating to speech & language therapy service provision are working well.
- To independently manage a complex caseload
- To work in the context of a multi-disciplinary team including the services from Health, Education and Social Care
- To contribute to the broader aims of the service to improve integrated delivery to children and young people with SEN/Disabilities and using highly refined communication skills inform wider stakeholders of the remit and functions of the service.
- To manage and be accountable, with supervision and support, for your own speech & language therapy practice and professional registration requirements within the organisation.
- To undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner
