An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Integrated Community Team based at Langthorne Health Centre in Leytonstone.
We are looking to recruit a 0.88 wte healthcare assistant to work in this busy fast paced service and require keen and enthusiastic individual's to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team. You will work alongside experienced nurses delivering a high quality care. The role will require you to be computer literate as all patients records are now electronic (RIO) and previous experience in clinical duties may be advantageous, as this role will also include pressure ulcers management, wound care management, medicine management and carrying out continence assessments .
The successful applicant must be flexible, a good team worker, used to working under pressure, have excellent interpersonal and IT skills and be able to communicate effectively with patients, carers and other members of the MDT.
The successful applicant will have a valued, challenging and rewarding role within the team and will benefit from the support of a friendly hard working Integrated Community Team consisting of Nurses, Doctors, Social Workers and therapists as well as other senior HCAs.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be expected to support their team , department and organisation to achieve the Trust's Values (5ps) in their day to day work.
The post holder will follow the code of conduct for Health care Support Workers in England by being accountable of the care provided to service users.
Work alone in clinical environment and in community, under the direction of a registered nurse.
Support service users with activity of daily living.
Be able to undertake vital signs assessment.
Reviewing service user's needs by identifying early signs of deterioration, and escalating any concerns to a registered nurse, patient and their family.

Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focusing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
High Cost Area Supplement - London
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,313 and a maximum payment of £5,436 per annum pro rata).
