Job summary
This exciting new post forms part of the Transformation Portfolio Management Office (T-PMO) flexible resources, within NELFT. The team supports strategic transformation projects that are aligned to the current organisational priorities, focusing on understanding the needs of the organisation, its staff , service users and communities to improve service delivery, quality of care, outcomes, experiences and best utilisation of resources. The purpose of the new role is to provide project management expertise and support to the Assistant Director of the T-PMO and to allocated transformation workstreams and their Senior Responsible Officers (SRO's) and project teams. It is therfore vital that candidates have knowledge and experience of using at least project managment / improvement methodology to delvier signifcant, sustained changed.
Main duties of the job
- Support a range of Trust wide projects to ensure plans are robust and sufficiently detailed and to provide the assurance that delivery will result in service quality improvement / development and efficiency savings.
- Work closely with the named Transformation Portfolio/Programme Leads, and the NELFT Transformation Portfolio Management Office (TPMO) to ensure all projects of work are co-ordinated, complementary and understand any co-dependencies.
- Initiate new project documentation as required, supporting the development of effective project documentation including Project PIDs, Business Cases, Project Plans, Workbooks, risk and issue logs and the formation of Project Steering Boards and teams.
- Manage, monitor, report and track the progress of projects, contributing to ensuring that the intended benefits are achieved with outcomes maximised.
- Successfully manage expectations on project deliverables, working alongside key stakeholders to understand and interpret potential constraints /risks to project objectives.
- Ensure the project management approach remains flexible, dynamic, and responsive to change at local and national level

Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focusing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
High Cost Area Supplement
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,313 and a maximum payment of £5,436 per annum pro rata).
