Job summary
Are you are hoping to join a enthusiastic, skilled and driven community team look no further join the London Borough of Havering Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service.
The service operates a 9am-5pm Monday -Friday service from the main site in Romford, which is a short walk away from the new TFL Elizabeth Line. We provide access, assessment, treatment following recommended guidance to a growing population of 0-18-year-olds. We work as a fully integrated MDT working alongside and in collaboration with primary care, universal, targeted and specialised MH services, as well as our educational providers and local authority colleagues.
The London Borough of Havering CAMH service, is also working with the national collaborative and The RCPsych to positively focus and influence our service within the Quality Improvement framework.
We are looking for a mental health CAMHSAmbassadors to join the NELFT's community children's mental health services in Havering, the post holder will have support and direct peers from fellow Tri Boroughs Barking and Dagenham CAMHS and Redbridge EWMHS.The post will suit current Nursing, Social work or Occupational Therapist with a strong interest in early intervention/detection in CYP Mental health direct with CYP and stakeholders to enable appropriate accesses in a responsive manner.
Main duties of the job
- To be responsible for organising and prioritising own workload, in line with caseload and service needs.
- To provide skilled evidenced based intervention/treatment within your scope of practice.
- Provided inhouse training to education, Primary care and LA to support the delivery CAMHS informed advice, preventing crisis and ensure equability in access.
- To show leadership skills across the MDT, sharing knowledge and skill from you own profession, in adjacent to others.
- You may need to deputise in the absence of a senior colleague and show the ability to prioritise and delegate appropriately.
- To have organisational knowledge to work within the Trust protocols and procedures and adhere to them for example safeguarding children.
- To ensure effective care planning and risk management for individuals and service level is adhered to.
- Use Audit to inform clinical and service delivery for example identifying areas of the community who find it difficult to access traditional support.

Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
