We have vacancies within our Crisis Response and Enhanced Support Team (CREST) for B6 Clinicians to work within our crisis pathway.
Main duties of the job
The role involves conducting crisis assessments in acute hospitals and the community for Children and Young People who present in a mental health emergency, with a response time of 4 hours. The right candidate will be able to work well under pressure and in the face of emotional situations and be confident in making autonomous decisions in the best interests of children, young people and their families.
Currently within the team we have RMNs, Social Workers, allied healthcare professionals and Paediatric Nurses and we would welcome clinicians from a wide range of backgrounds applying for this role. The focus of the work is on mental health assessments and appropriate signposting to other mental health services and / or agencies, with close collaboration with health and social care services.
The team cover the whole of Kent and Medway so work remotely across different locations but have access to several different sites to support the team and role. All equipment will be provided to support staff in working in an agile and flexible way.
The team operate 24/7 covering long days, earlies, lates and nights. There is opportunity to discuss flexible working options with the right candidate.

Probationary Period
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
Due to the hard to recruit nature of this post, it has been identified by NELFT as being eligible for a welcome payment for all new starters to the trust subject to the terms set out within the NELFT Recruitment Policy. This post also attracts a one off payment equivalent to 10% of annual basic salary. This would be payable as 50% of the incentive as a lump sum at end of the probationary period (Typically six months) and then the other 50% of the incentive as a lump sum at the end of year two.

- To be eligible for registration as a full member of the appropriate professional body (e.g. HCPC, NMC) where appropriate
