Job summary

We are looking for enthusiastic CBT therapists and Psychologists to provide therapy in Barking and Dagenham CAMHS Service

Good knowledge of disorder specific CBT interventions for common mental health disorders is essential for the role. We are also eager to attract Psychologists and CBT therapists trained in other modalities such as Behavioural Couples Therapy (BCT), Couples Therapy for Depression (CTfD), Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT), Counselling for Depression (CfD), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT). In addition to individual therapy, there are opportunities within this role to develop and deliver evidence-based group activities and treatment for clients with common mental health presentations.

Main duties of the job

We are a dynamic and empowering team and as such post holders will be expected to work well within a team setting and should be able to deliver an autonomous service as part of the role, operating within recognised professional guidelines and the overall framework of the service's policies and procedures. Post holders will be expected to work within the service's core business hours

There are several aspects which make Barking & Dagenham an exciting place to work. We also encourage personal and professional development within the team and support ongoing BABCP accreditation by providing the necessary CPD required for this. Additionally, clinicians are provided with the opportunity to undertake different responsibilities alongside clinical work, deliver training and or consultation to the team and other services, or attend training where this may be required, such as, Trauma focussed CBT for complex traumas, Complex Grief, Supervisor training; thus, further strengthening their repertoire of skills. We also offer monthly in-house training, high intensity peer supervision and external training in other IAPT modalities when the opportunity arises.

Starting with NELFTNELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focusing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.High Cost Area Supplement - LondonThis post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary with a minimum payment of £4,108 and a maximum payment of £5,177 per annum (pro rata for part-time).
