Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Support Officer to join the Pharmacy Informatics Team at North East London NHS Foundation Trust (NELFT), to support the safe and effective implementation, monitoring, optimisation and ongoing maintenance of Digital Medicines & Pharmacy Informatics systems across the Trust.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic, and well organised individual with excellent communication skills and an eye for detail.

Reporting to the Lead Pharmacist for Digital Medicines and Pharmacy Informatics, the post holder will provide day-to-day project support and management for Pharmacy Informatics projects. They will be responsible for co-ordinating project work streams, supporting the Lead Pharmacist with the production and maintenance of all required project documentation and assisting in the evaluation of project outcomes as well as providing regular updates on plans and the progress of projects.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will;

Work as a member of the Pharmacy Informatics Team assisting with production and maintenance of scoping papers, briefing papers, project initiation documents, project plans, project reports, risk and issue logs, work packages, presentations and other required project documentation.

Assist in the development of project plans, working with stakeholders on implementation and evaluation.

Support project and performance tracking, monitoring, implementing, evaluating and delivery of plans by providing high quality information and analysis, providing regular reports and dashboards to ensure key stakeholders are informed on the progress of plans.

Support achievement of project targets by monitoring and evaluating project progress against objectives, ensuring all works streams and specified tasks are completed within the agreed timeframe and/or remedial action is put in place, escalating issues to the project manager as necessary

Act as first point of contact for project and pharmacy informatic system enquiries.

Starting with NELFT

NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process, new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focusing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

High Cost Area Supplement - London

This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,108 and a maximum payment of £5,177).
