Job summary

8B Lead Clinical Psychologist / Emotional Difficulties Pathway Lead (fixed term 1 year, full time job share)

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinical Psychologist to contribute to the leadership of Waltham Forest CAMHS alongside our existing Lead Clinical Psychologist / Emotional Difficulties Pathway Lead.

Waltham Forest has a vibrant and expanding group of psychologists and allied psychological professionals who are valued by the wider multidisciplinary team. Supported by a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, the job share post holders are responsible for the line management and clinical supervision of the psychology team, and ensuring service provision is safe, effective, caring, responsive and well led.

Main duties of the job

In addition to leading psychological professionals, this job share role leads the emotional difficulties pathway, alongside a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. You will co-ordinate multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions, ensure key performance indicators are met, and provide clinical consultation and care planning guidance to the MDT. You will hold a small caseload of children and families with complex needs, and can pursue a clinical specialism according to your interest and service demands.

This role sits on the management group of Waltham Forest CAMHS, which is responsible for overall service provision and direction across 7 pathways. Waltham Forest CAMHS is an innovative and forward-looking service and you will have opportunities to champion new initiatives and improve standards for our children and families. We work towards providing trauma-informed care and improving co-construction of services through employing peer workers, participation workers and maintaining an active participation group.
