Job description

Job responsibilities

In alignment with the Community Mental Health Framework for Adults, our aims include a greater focus on prevention, wellbeing and delivering more integrated and personalised care closer to home. By working with Primary Care Networks (PCN) and local partners, NELFT propose to support plans by developing multi-agency, integrated and place-based care to support people with mental health needs. At the core of the framework is the idea that primary, secondary, specialist, and social care, along with housing, voluntary sector, and commissioned providers work together in a unified way with people who use services at the centre of service provision and much more involved in their care. All team members will receive training in recovery and social inclusion, Open Dialogue, and trauma informed approaches to care. In addition, groups of staff will also be invited to undertake further specialised training in an area of chosen expertise. We will support additional training and have a skills matrix to support existing and all new staff.

COVID-19 VaccinationThe successful applicant will be an NHS employee and may therefore have contact with vulnerable service users. During the COVID-19 pandemic, it has been necessary to take significant steps to protect the health and safety of our staff, service users and those attending our sites. To comply with our duty of care, we require our staff to have the COVID vaccine and we will ask for proof of vaccination during the recruitment process. Vaccination will be a condition of employment unless an exemption applies.

Starting with NELFT

NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focusing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

High Cost Area Supplement London

This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £3,898 to a maximum of £4,967).
