Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Quality Improvement expert to facilitate our Acute and Rehabilitation Directorate (ARD) in the use of IHI QI Model for Improvement methodology in their improvement projects. This is a very busy directorate with multiple improvement projects in progress. The ARD QI Lead with the support of the QI Service will help staff to understand and embrace QI methodology in their improvements efforts and act as an overarching projects co-ordinator to feedback to senior leadership the progress being made and any barriers being experienced.

Main duties of the job

  • Act as a source of QI expertise and leadership
  • Teach QI methodology and tools to others
  • Facilitate and support improvement projects to use QI methodology and tools effectively
  • Encourage co-production of all improvement projects
  • Act as a QI mentor and coach to NELFT staff and service users
  • Maintain a high level awareness of improvement projects happening across ARD, report back to senior leadership and ensure commonalties and lessons learnt are shared
  • To act as support mechanism for removing barriers to progress

About us

NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the processnew starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex
