Job summary

The Security Section exists for the safety of all staff, patients and visitors to the Hospital site.To be responsible for monitoring the CCTV System, responding to all alarms within the Hospital and responding to duress calls made by members of the Hospital staff, patients and visitors. To deal with any aggressive patients/visitors as necessary.To be responsible for parking on the site, providing directions to visitors, searching for patients missing from the wards, assisting confused patients back to their wards and helping Hospital staff moving patients around the site where appropriate.

Main duties of the job

1. To maintain a safe environment for staff, patients and visitors within the Hospital and grounds, and the protection of all Hospital assets.2. To respond promptly to incidents and emergencies within the Hospital site.3. To provide documentation, reports and liaise with outside agencies such as the Police.4. To establish and maintain effective working relationships with all wards, departments and outside agencies with which the Security Team comes into contact.
